Toyota: Land Cruiser Base
Any Mudders know this cruiser? I have really been searching for a diesel 40 series of some variant that is in much better shape - preferably with PS and AC so I can drive it frequently in Texas. This appears to be a clean swap and in good shape. It's also pretty close to me (4 hrs) being in San Antonio. Anybody deal with Diesel Toys, LLC before? Any thoughts?
Helping a buddy who isn't on Mud sell his 42.
He threw out the number $25K when I asked him what he wanted for it. I don't know the diesel market that well, but I do know that he has much more than that invested.

1965 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 pickup
This is a second series gas tank below 1979 FJ43. LHD Colombian spec.
Truck is in insured container and outbound from Colombia. Seller is Volcan 4x4, LLC bonded Florida dealer. This is our 7th frame on restored FJ43.
This was a top of the market purchased FJ43 with straight body and nice shiny paint. Floors are straight and textured. Uknown ownership and miles other than we purchased from a Colombian businessman and FJ collector. Truck shows very clean underneath. We then spent 2 months overhauling the truck including extensive mechanical. The FJ43s especially hide a lot of deferred mechanical.

Hey guys im toying with the idea of getting rid of my 45 lwb as i just dont have the time anylonger to do the proper resto it needs. It has rust it has some inner C channel rot i wont lie. THe worst of it is just before the rear wheels which seems to be common. I was goin to box the frame to handle all of the issues. With the dollar the way it is a brand new frame from aqualu is a cheap fix if you plan on a frame off resto. Frames seem to be pretty easy to find also. Ive found a couple up here in great shape for under 1k. The floor on the box is pretty much toast. It runs and drives great. Looking for a Cruiser to replace a Range Rover that is presently in a Lion exhibit at an internationally recognized zoo in Southern California. This vehicle is a major part of the exhibit theme, the guest experience and is prominently placed for the Lions to enjoy and all to see. The theme is a researchers camp. While they are out the Lions moved in. The Lions love it. They lay on top and inside and chase each other around it. This vehicle ends up in everybody's pictures.
I never liked the rover because that's not what the researchers would have used, but it is all that we had to use at the time. A lot of work went into preparing the vehicle to be safe for the animals. Every bit of plastic comes off, anything loose gets removed or...

Please, if anyone is willing to sell a AM/FM radio for a BJ 40 series. I think the early 60 series also had the same radio.
