There's a place in LA, I'm sorry that I can't recall the name of the shop, that repairs dash pads.vinyl. But, I think it's very spendy. I thought about doing something similar with the cracked dash on my 62, but I ended up buying a replica dash pad cover from Cool Cruisers of Texas. It looks very good, but it doesn't retain the "softness" of the original.Anybody know someone that repairs the early dashboard vinyl sections? Mine finally cracked after 33yrs
I don't really want to get all custom with this if I can avoid doing so.
For our 80, which has a cracked dash pad too, I ordered an Escape Gear dash cover. It's got tons of storage pockets, it covers the cracks and it looks pretty darn nice too. That might be an option to consider.
