so I got my ARB bull bar on sale from Iron Pig offroad.

they had to get it shipped from Australia because apparently arb usa didnt have any in stock.

so it got here. and I started to put it on. First off, let me say the instructions were kind of confusing because they were all in Australian!!:) I know, I know, they speak english, but it ain't the same. I had to read it a couple times before I thought I knew what they meant. It wouldnt have been bad if they had a single picture in the whole thing. they go a long way.

anyways, got it on.(12 bolts later). but I think I may be missing something. there are two flanges underneath the bumper, outside of the two frame rail flanges, that mount to nothing. I got no brackets to mount this flange to the frame, but I feel like it should be.

could someone point out what this is for, and maybe if I am missing the so called "wing bracket" mentioned in the instructions.

ps..i did have some extra hardware left over because i did not install the winch / control box / fair lead at this time. I figured most of it would be for that, but that being said, i see nothing that seems like it would go here.

this is the bracket i was referring to.
it seems like there should be a secondary piece with a jog in it that would bolt to this flange and then angle down and sandwhich between the frame and the bottom of the arb frame mounts.

any clues anyone?
i think wardamneagle has one of these on his rig, maybe he will chime in.

all the hardware i have left is small 8-10mm stuff and screws. except for the two 10" long 1/2" diameter bolts which i assumed were for the fairlead.

My son has the 4Runner at school but I will take a peek this afternoon when he gets home. I don't really recall having that bracket on mine. The two long bolts are for the vertical rollers on the fairlead.

I can tell you that the two holes that I've circled in blue are there so that you can mount your OEM recovery hooks. I sourced an extra one off ebay and put one on each side.

i am going to take a shot i have no picks, but on my wife's 95 the original bumper has two bolt holes in the body mount there, so it bolts to it, so i am guessing arb makes all the ifs bumpers the same.

i will try to get some pics but my batteries are dead.

so any one with a 90 to 95 4 runner that has pics of there arb mounts help me out.

i might have misused body mount it is still part of the frame.

here are some pics.

thanks fellas.
I am going to try and call arb usa at some point this week and just make sure.

thought I would follow up on this real quick for future arb ppl.

just got off the phone with arb usa.
toy4xfun was correct. the bumper is apparently for both the late first gen and second gen 4runners. those brackets are only used on the second gen.

Thanks for the help fellas.
