THE 51'S D WINDOW will hit your caliper

i thought the 3.5 b/s cleared

I could also go with 2.5" b/s, im only about 1 1/2" over stock on 31's,

will this be too wide for my stance

with more than 3.5" BS the outer part of the wheel will hit the tie rod at the steering arm. But some wheels are shaped differently and because of the shape of the spokes or center area, they will rub on the brake calipers. Often this can be remedied by just taking a grinder to the high spots on the caliper. Many have done this. But it would be nice to see first hand before grinding without knowing.

Yep...I even had trouble with the basic 82 series wheels. If your dealer won't
get the wheel of your choice and pre-check it on your truck, try another shop.
I'm sure they will tho......................;)

The 87s only need the slightest dressing on the stock caliper to clear, 4runner calipers need some grinding.

FYI. According to the link, the 87s have backspacing of 3.75", not 3.5".

Thats true, which is why i run a 1/4 inch spacer. I should have noted that.

they have other b/s, I was just using that link to show pic, I ordered 2.75 b/s, we'll see how they fit

back spacing will not stop the D windows from rubbing. all back spacing does is move the outer shell further in or further out. too far in and youll hit your knuckle arms, tie rod ends...

I have the 97's on my 88 62 with 4 runner calipers. I had to grind the calipers down and I still installed a 1/4" spacer on the front to clear. I have no complaints about the wheel.

Oh, and I have 3.75" BS on a 15x8 wheel.

i ended up ordering 15x8, 2.75 b/s, ill just do a little grindin if needed, ill post results after a test fit

I have the 87's with a 1/4in. spacer in front.Great wheels,no problems at all.

any updates?

Still on the truck, still going strong.

they discontinued that series so i had to go with the d windows, ohh well im lovin it, 2.75 b/s slight dressing to the caliper and the stance is perfect
