I stole this picture from a thread by badass. Too lazy to take my own picture. Can anyone tell me what the switch is with the red circle around it? Mine doesn't have any wires hooked to it anymore so I can't follow them. Is it neutral safety?

i'd say that switch is the least of your problems.
I believe it is a switch that tells the emissions "computer" when you are in 4th gear. There is no neutral safety switch.

Mine don't look like that! I just used the picture for illustration and because I was too lazy to go take a picture.
Thanks for the replies. I will leave it unhooked.
Just put a multimeter on it and check which gear you're in when it shows continuity. If it's reverse, it's for the backup light. If you get continuity in 4th, it's for emissions.
Definitely 4th gear sensor.
