Ok heres the deal I was have been doing a disc conversion on my 75 fj40. The doner axle was labled 85 4runner when I ordered my parts rotors calipers I also ordered new wheel studs . when i went to install the new wheel studs they were to small and at the time i just thought they gave me the wrong part. The old ones were not in bad shape. So i just installed them and keep going with the conversion. Today I blead the brakes and tried to put the tires back on and find out the old lugs were not fiting . So I went to the parts store and bought every standard and metric size lug they had only to find no match. Here is the part that has me confused :crybaby:. Why did the new wheel studs not fit i checked the part Number they were right . Then i thought maybe I got a fj 60 front end but i checked on the 60 fourm wheel studs are the same. :o So what the :censor::censor::censor::censor::censor::censor::censor::censor::censor::censor::censor: and the old wheel studs are not striped. I am ready to lite the whole truck on fire:bounce2::bounce2::bounce2::bounce2::doh:

I just did my front using an 84 Toy pickup wheel hubs. These are the same as you have in the pic.
I also did 2 disc brake rear conversions for an 89 toy pickup and 79
FJ40. I had no problem finding the wheel studs that you are looking for. You should take one of the old studs with you And ask for Toy pickup 4x4 front wheel studs for say 82 and Napa or Carquest should
have them.
Napa,
Part # 641-3126 Wheel Bolt- front
The new studs won't go in easy , they should be pressed in with a press. I got them started with a Hammer. Took them to a Machine shop . They pressed them in in less than 10 mins.
Good luck.

Yes, above was the same as me. I had the same problem with the same solution. The new studs "look" like they won't fit, but they will if you have a press and press them into place. Others told me I could hit them in with a BFH, no way, they are a bitch to get in, shop press is the only way. Take em to a machine shop and press em in.

Thanks for the repleys guys. The problem is not that I can not get the stock wheel studs or press them in . the problem is that when i put the stock wheel studs in i could push them in and out by hand. That is why i thought they gave me the wrong part and I put the old ones back in now i cant find a lug nut to fit the old wheel studs. And have no idea why the stock studs would not fit on the rotor/hub assembly:confused:

the studs are the same up to 7/'80 ( smaller shoulder) 8/'80 on ( a bit larger shoulder and longer) the nuts are the same......

what year does that one fit
As far as I know.
79-85 Toy 4x4 Pickups and 4runners.
and newer landcruiser front wheel hubs.

When I was at Napa they had the rear wheel studs listed for the front for the years from 83 on. That is not correct, but very confusing.

The rear wheel studs are totally differnet.

This what a rear wheel stud look like. Fits on most Toy truck flanges.
