My Michelins wore on the outside, my AT's wore on the outside my KM-2's wear on the outside, I have had it alignment multiple time and by the Toyota dealer in Atlanta and they all say it's in spec and no issues. But are puzzled by this. I was out with pman and noticed his KM-2s are wearing on the outside as well. Also my friends 100 that is completely stock 100% not wheeled wears on the outside...

What's with Toyota? Should I adjust it so it wears the inside (my KM-2s look almost new on the inside, whereas the outside looks worn about half way. spec sheet is all green) I will need a alignment in a few days as I am doing some more suspension work.

I've run into this problem with my GS430. Upgraded to the L-Tuned suspension and didn't realize the camber was way negative. I've had the car this way for 5 years and aligned countless times and dozens of shops in the area because the tires wear through the belts (on the inside) in 12 months or less with full traction on the outside.

Believe it or not, every time I go through this experience I explain the situation to the shops and they report back there's not one problem with my alignment.

Not sure why but after this many experiences of hearing I'm always within the specs, I gotta think you're falling in to the same boat. Camber is positive for you however since you're balding the outside of the tire. Trunk is probably right if you've torqued you're TBs.

Within factory camber spec at full droop mine goes slightly negative camber (with Fox shocks, Carl's UCA you get more droop)...

I had that until I dropped my front end a bit. I think it's the nature of the front suspension geometry and the t-bars being cranked up.

Great, I am about to go up another .5" in the front and 1" in the rear

thanks for the answers so far. Keep them coming! I want to stop this. Only other option I have it to go white letter out and wear them the other way.

White letter out is a great short term solution towards getting more value out of the tires but it certainly doesn't fix anything.

Going to have to adjust camber at some point ...

Tires don't lie. If they wear unevenly, you have alignment issues. Any shop that sees the uneven wear and says you don't have an alignment issue, doesn't know squat, at least on the 100. Some cars, like BMW are designed to have significant negative camber in the rear to help in cornering. Not so with a 100. Find a shop that does nothing but alignments and take a 4 wheel measurement and always, whether the customer wants it or not, gives you a printout of the before and after results versus manufacturer specs. Might be hard to find, but worth their weight in gold (even at $1800/ounce).

This is after my last alignment. 2 months ago, what do you think?

They are adjusting it for stock height vs 2" I would think. Does anybody with a lifted truck that doesn't have odd tire wear have their alignment specs?

wow. These guys are to stupid to insult. holy s***... I just solved my issue. Can anyone find the problem in the picture? This will be a interesting phone call tomorrow

f'ing retards... I swear...

I have the same issue with my '04. I thought it was the crappy Bridgestone tires that were OEM, which I replaced once, and then went to LTX M/S 2s because I thought they would not be as soft (obviously, I don't do much off road). My tire shop is Gran Turismo in Atlanta, and I trust those guys implicitly. When the LTX M/S 2s started doing the same thing (although not as badly), they repeated that there was nothing wrong with the alignment. I'd love to find an answer to this issue.

I have heard good things about Grand Turismo, Butler Tire does a fabulous job, but at $200 for an alignment vs $65 at Big10....moot point.

I may go to Gran Turismo and have them look at it. My 100 seems to always land in the guys who can talk well, but are complete retards when it comes to working on s***. I'm almost scared to take my truck in, almost horrified when I cut them a check and don't know if they did anything (you listening Sandy Springs Toyota????)

The guys at Gran Turismo are good people. Plus, my boys love going there with me to check out all the high performance cars that are typically there getting new rubber. I recommend them highly.

We need to get some LC's together and go to the shop and compare alignments. Maybe we can try to copy properly wearing 100's. With my lift I doubt it, but worth a shot.

lol. My alignment is great... if I had a 4runner

Seriously, that would explain why my truck handles really funny. Now what do I do since they pretty much aligned my truck completely wrong and wore a set of KM-2's funny?

For a second there, i was like "duhhhh its your toe thats off, see the red?" haha
Then i saw the 4runner bit.

You might be able to get them to cut you a deal on a new set of tires. Or, you could get a lawyer involved but that is going to be a whole lot more expensive.
Or something like free alignments for life, something like that.
You could lie and tell them you spoke to a lawyer already and that might make them give in a little more.

awesome. First a set of BFG A/T's are defective, replaced them at 22K, then the tire shop aligned my s*** for the totally wrong vehicle wearing my tires funky, I have 12K on the KM-2's and they are past 50% on the outer portions. This is beyond me, I will negotiate something tomorrow. Maybe I can step to 35's now...

I wonder how long they have been aligning it as a 4runner now....I have always had significant uneven tire wear.
