Where is Browns Camp?

Browns Camp
Oregon Department of Forestry

Browns Camp OHV Staging Area is located two miles off the summit of the Wilson River Highway (Oregon Hwy 6). It is popular staging area for off-highway vehicles (OHV).

The campground has 29 campsites, vault toilets and drinking water from a hand pump. Each site offers a picnic table and a fire grate.

The day use area has trail access, an unloading ramp, picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets.

For 2010, the campgound and staging area will open on April 1st and close on November 1st.


The fees for campsites are:
Vehicle site $10.00/night (first-come, first-serve; no reservations)
Extra vehicle $2.00/night

yeah i really want to go, but I do not want to install a roll cage

Maybe i will contact them and see what kinda wiggle room there is.

Making the trip from Olympia. Right now Gale's creek weather is calling for 66 degrees and "few showers". I look forward to getting a little muddy and seeing some of your rigs.

Packing now, hope to be on the road by 4:00. Going to Pacific City to surf first, plan to roll into camp sometime tomorrow afternoon! Stoked.
