What does it take to convert this transfer case to fit a fj62 or is there a fj62 case still in production?

We don't have immediate plans to pre build any vacuum shift cases however it would be a very simple conversion. One would need to drill/tap some holes. This would require reusing the vacuum diaphragm and front selector shaft from your existing vacuum case and some small linkage. We could absolutely build a case upon order.

We've them up, pack them up, ship them out. Another brand new H55F 5 Spd transmission and t-case en route to a new home. This case was converted to the @advanceadapters twin stick during the assembly process. We are shipping a few H55F's each week, add them to your existing split t-case or we can supply turnkey assemblies as shown. Transmissions start at $2450, assembled combos starting at $4500.

Hey @cruiseroutfit will give you a call soon about these, but what is generally the lead time for a combo built up these days?

With standard low range gear reduction, approximately one week for built combos to ship. With the low range options require welding and machining to the tea case, the machine shop is quite backed up at the moment so they are some additional time.

More batches of split t-cases have been coming and going

Someday... I'm hoping sometime next year. 🤑

Mmmmm. More cases being prepped for new homes. We have (7) of the TC36110 and just (2) of the TC36111 left in stock until our next batch arrives from Japan

Nice. I bet you have more than Toyota parts depots have in the US.

🤘

Maybe so :D

Remind me to tell you the story about the Toyota US visitors I had at the shop last month. A few were quick to spot out of market parts :D

We now have four different split t-cases in-stock and a 5th en route from Japan.

Kurt: Besides the vacuum actuated and manual xfer cases, can you speak to the differences between the manual cases that you are offering?

Thank you.

You bet!

In order of appearance:
Vaccuum shift
Manual Shift 2.3:1 (L4 Pos Switch & 4WD Indicator)
Manual Shift 2.3:1 (4WD Indicator only)
Manual Shift 2:1 (4WD Indicator only)

Obviously a bit of overlap but options are king. We had a few others arrive that varied only with super small things such as type of case breather or the presence of the 5th gear oiler pre-installed. We've distilled it down to these 4 (and soon) 5 options that should adequately cover all of the common options we see. There are still some odd-balls we could get but havne't had calls on, particularly those using the studs to mount to the trans/adapter.

My apologies for being ignorant but, what is the difference between 2:1 and 2:3:1? I assume the 2:1 is the reduction between high and low range but where does the 3 in 2:3:1 factor in?

2-point-3:1 is the low range. We have 2:1, 2.3:1, 3:1, 3.3:1 and 4:1 as low range options in the split t-cases.

2.3:1 is a factory low range gear offering.

I'm not at the shop so I don't have our more recent charts avail but this chart of gear offerings is still relevant for the 2.3:1
