I would still be willing to bet that one pictured above (carcass) was an American built Willys. You never said if it had any badging to determine if it was truly a Mistu. So, I did some digging and found this.........look mid page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_CJ I did not seeing...

Another too stoned cruiser. This appears to be a mall crawler with very well cared for paint and modest tire size. I could picture a nice old lady that’s into wearing Native American jewelry and one of those weird sun hats.

A heart transplant is understandable, but my rigs just need small crap fixed. My 60 just needs the Carb Linkage worked out, but I cannot get the pin to sit in well, and my pig needs the breaks fixed, with a steering wheel replacement. My CEL 100 is getting my by for now, though!

This one hasn't been driven since the eighties. It was offered to me at a price I couldn't refuse in 1994. Originally thought it needed an ignition switch. Now thinking it just the resistor in the circuit when running and bypassed when starting.

Probably doesn't help I always seem to at least one other 40 series running.

was it a 70 series "truck" that was tan. If so I just saw that one Saturday in that same area.
