Not a presumption on your part Larry, house is open, come on up on Friday if you wish. I can be home from work early if someone's coming up. Other wise I'll work 'till 4:00, home by 4:40.

Dan's trike from a few Gatherings ago is also up and running and available for our evenings entertainment. Have plenty of wood for the fire pit. Also have a four burner grill if anyone wants to char beef etc.

And, Larry, you may want to take the tail lights off the FJC before you head into the woods, they pop like zits out there.
Oh, and, roll down the windows, so all the glass pieces stay inside the door, not on the interior.

YOU are the BEST my friend! I hope your neighborliness results in a few more participants. I'm also up for whipping some of the less worthy rigs over on the trails in Newport to get a couple more to go. I hope we can actually get some folks to wheel both days.

I also really appreciate your concerns and tips for protecting the FJC. However, there's not a problem on the glass and plastic as I have already taken precautions.

I'll be running my prototype 1/4" thick aluminium/titanium/magnesium/unobtanium alloy tail light covers. (Remember those light covers on military vehicles?) I figure I will be able to sell them for only about 5 times the cost of a Toyota lens and they should pay for themselves by the end of every third outing wherever people have trees in their wheeling regions. I already have several deposits from Sumatra and dealer inquiries from West Bumfukaka in Darkest Africa.

I also just installed the new expanded metal side window covers. I realized that if I keep the windows down, a mosquito might sting me. :crybaby:

This is the place we met for this run two or three years ago. The exact address is below for your GPS. Google maps was not accurate, but Bing maps shows the right spot. The store at the meeting spot has food, gas, air, and sundries. There will be some road travel to the property from there. Weather is sunny for Saturday. How about we meet at 0930?

Not sure I'm gonna have my tow rig and trailer by then, trying like hell, I really need to get into the woods :bang:ds

The meeting place is basically the only gas station and store in town. It should be very easy to find unless you are the first person to show up with a modified Toyota.

Is anyone else coming?

Is this event open to non-YT members? If not, how about other Toy owners that might be prospects?

I will be there at 9:30. I've decided not to camp since I only live a 1/2 hour away, but I'm up for a full day of wheeling on both days if everyone else is so inclined. I considered putting the LTB's back on the Tan 40 and bringing that, but I decided to work on the 80 today and time ran out. My laziness means I will be wheeling the FJC and hoping to avoid any body damage. I've been lucky so far!

It's raining tonight, thank goodness. Despite that, I don't expect much mud since we haven't had much rain this month around this part of NH. There was a bad thunderstorm earlier in the week, so I hope someone is bringing a chainsaw just in case.

I probably could have gotten a couple more to come if this wasn't just a YT event. I've met some "prospects' from other clubs that might have come. Maybe next year. I'd hate to see our reservation go by the wayside due to a lack of interest.

The Stihl is already in the truck. See you tomorrow morning.

Looking forward to catching up with everyone today.I'll take pictures and offer an opinion from an unlocked perspective.

Have fun guys, wish I could be there...
Look forward to seeing some of you in Rockport tomorrow.

Rough Day

Too tired for full trip report, but Moose Mountain was a handful. Should be rated for 35s and front and rear lockers. Broke a CV axle, busted tail light and a dent. With only 2wd, it took us 5 hours to get me back to the trail head. We are all exhausted. The FJC needs a little love.

Lane, I'm not really familiar with the area. Do you have a recomendation?
I'm not sure I'll be making this one. If I do it will be as a passenger in someone elses truck.
