I spotted this LV near Wake Forest sitting at a Rover shop. The shop owner was there and I talked with him briefly. He says that owner brought it in for some minor work. He doesn't usually work on Cruisers but agreed to take it. The shop owner was busy with other work and just hasn't gotten to the Cruiser. It looks like it has been sitting for years and there's some nasty rust holes in the roof. Shop owner did say the owner has no interest in selling and wants to keep it just because it is rare.

Be far easier to work on as opposed to the Rangie next to it.

Was the shop owner a guy named Brian? I love driving by there on US 1 and looking at what they have facing the highway.

Yeap. Nice to talk to but didn't want to give up too much information. He did say that he offered to buy the LV from the owner and he wouldn't sell. It's a shame that it is just sitting there wasting away.

I knew Brian growing up, great guy. He had an old volvo p1800 that was a similar situation, client car, but this time the client wanted to sell it. I couldn't pull the trigger on it, but it was a cool little car.

? Really.

Looks like a dead ringer for one that had a bit of history on mud. Maybe not but blue with rear diamond 1/4 and thornturds looks awful familiar.

no the TBs are terrible tires but a lifted LV looks like it should have left the factory that way... so few people lift them that it is refreshing to see. Maybe I should have said nicest one i've seen in a while.

I did not however see the diamond plate on the first pass by so you are right about that.

I think that it's interesting that a Sequoia can tow a Disco, but none of the big rental truck companies (U-haul, Budget, Penske) etc, have a trailer that can do it.

Do you think Toyota borrowed that air con technology from Studebaker?

U are always towing s 2001 Honda Accord.

My wife Melissa spotted this 80 on Saturday at the movies in Holly Springs. There is a very nice lifted white lx450 a block away from my daughters school that I need to take a picture of and I run into a nicely built green 80 near me that I run into quite a bit.

My year is made..... saw one of my unicorn cars in Washington

They did one of these on Wheelers Dealers, if you like that show. They added a 3rd wind on the back after meeting with one of the original car designers / engineers. He said it was in the original spec of the car but didn't make the cut for production.

I saw that same shoe Ramon, pretty cool Escort. I like that show, that is where I found the cool Nussbaum lift.

I spotted the same Cruiser at the same theater. We went to see Black Panther at 2:40PM on Saturday. We were running a bit late and I was driving the GTI. Didn't have time to stop and look.
