So am I correct in my research that bilstein doesn't carry a application specific 5100 series shock for the 100 series? But just the 4600.

Has any one tried the "universal" series such as the 5125/5150/5165 yet.

The vehicle is my daily driver, kid hauler, explore the desert southwest, camp, pull the fishing boat vehicle. Currently has 265 duratracs on right now, sooner than later will be installing 860(given the rest of my plans should I go straight to the 863's) emu springs, playing with the torsion bars some, and some 285's or 305 tires of some kind. Home fab'd rack and sliders, and I have a m15000lbs winch laying around that will be getting some synthetic cable for the front.

I had been considering the fox 2.0 IFp's but after what I have researched on here I don't know that I have time for all that nonsense if they come that soft from the factory. Part # 985-24-067/985-24-066

Thanks

Do they hold up that well? I know they were designed to work hand and hand, shock technology has come along way in the last 20 years though, don't feel I should be putting the same shocks that my 40 had on it 15 years ago.

Don't know if I can bring my self to spend money on profender 's.

Ome has new shocks out (different valving) that i have driven with and i liked them alot. Just ordered the ome 1.5 hd springs and pn-60,071L shocks with longer travel for my hundy, ill post up on the results shortly after install

Looking forward to more info. on this one (^^).

When did they come out?

I saw they also released rear LCAs someone mentioned here on 'Mud.

I just put the Fox Shock on my LC. Newer valving (is that a word?). Definitely soft, really nice ride IMHO.

Well now I'm going try to find any info I can on these now...

I'm interested in those actually, but that is what I'm worried about, the 100 is kind of portly... and I'm concerned based on other reviews on here that they're too soft. Especially when loaded down with a wife, two kids, dogs, camping sh!t, boat in tow sometimes.... It goes on and on.

Yes...and you don't have to figure out a custom solution to protect the exposed rear shafts on mono-shocks from getting peened from gravel spray off the front tires (fact...no lie). You also won't have to rebuild them every year/every other year. And you won't have to have a nitrogen set up. Not to mention tuning kit/know how/pay someone to fine tune them.

Yeah...call me Debbie Downer. But I suggest, since you asked, you be very careful about sliding down that rabbit hole. Put the OME's on and enjoy. Or at least remember I warned ya :flipoff2:

I was thinking #60001 for the front and 60002 for the rear. Given what I've listed for my usage of the truck those seem like the correct ones. Any other suggestions?

Spressomon is correct, though ome doesn't have the bling they are tried and true and the shaft isnt exposed to the grit from the tire. The other thing to think about is $$$, actually add one more $ for all four...

Bwell im not sure the type of wheeling your doing but those ome shocks should work great and i doubt you'll be disappointed, much less notice a worth the money difference. Not a hater just out of my price range :)

Well this is what happens when you type in the car, don't proofread, and don't check 'mud while you're away.
It should read "Definitely NOT soft.."

Sorry, i realize that's a pretty big typo. The ride quality was great on the highway all the way to Moab (1,100 miles)and they performed well on the trails (Black Bear, Fins n' Things, Alpine Loop to Engineer Pass). Plus i liked them on the washboard stuff. It was only me and light gear (but a heavy cooler). I agree that the exposed shaft is a concern, and if i were still driving 55 miles round trip for my commute (new job-down to 12 miles round), I probably would have gone a different direction. But it should be awhile before I need to service them. I paid $110 per shipped.

Ha, I kind of wondered that. I think they are what I am looking for. Where did you find them for $110.00 shipped a piece?
