Hello great people of mud,

I need some help. I have a 62 that is now cutting out wile going over strong bumps. I know that I have bad motor mounts so I think that it could be a ground. But I do thing that it could be fuel related. When it cuts out it's like it ran out of gas, but then it keeps running. this cutting out only happens for 1/2 a second.

sooooo... if this has happened to you can you share your story

thanks,
Brandon

Does this only happen when you're low on fuel. Sounds like you're losing prime at the pump. Fuel injected trucks don't have a float bowl like a carb.
You can lose prime for several seconds with a carbed truck but an instant of lost prime with injection will cause a miss

Had a similar type issue for a while with my 95 pathfinder, ended up being that the EGR system was gunked up and would cause the truck to suddenly cut-out when I had to brake hard for some reason or another. Could be a possible issue as well.

Check the EFI ground on the intake manifold. Also check the main relay wiring in the fuse and relay box under the hood. They tend to have poor connections and melt the wires to the relay. You may want to look at the air intake hoses for cracks as well. With broken motor mounts you will be stretching these beyond the design limits and could cause a stumle or stall when going over bumps, Bill

it was the TPS. found out that the "3 of 89" tps from o'rilly doesn't work for my 4 of 89. I may have an 2 of 89 throttle.
