Will a chey 350 run (really rough and crappy) with the distrtibutor in 180 deg out or will it not run at all?

seems like i had a friend that done that once.. i believe it would would barely run if you throttled it, and backfired through the intake alot.. I know for a fact it was backfiring through the intake when trying to start. Hope this helps

Howdy! Yup, what he said. BTDT. It would JUST barely keep running if you milked the throttle just right. Backfired a lot. It is real easy to make it run ruff and crappy by just switching around a couple of plug wires. BTDT, many times. Similar results from cracked or really nasty/dirty dizzy cap. John
 
It will run, you just have to time it using #6 cyldr.
