Hi fellas,

I could use some help tracking down a few things for my LV as I get nearer to getting her back on the road. I thought I'd post up here before going to the general classifieds.

In his recent thread, lvdreamer mentioned he knew where there were two donor LVs so I reached out to him first. He said they might still be on one of the donor trucks, but that they are located 8 hours away from him and under 5 feet of snow. (I'm envisioning somewhere in the Arctic Circle.) :santa:

Rather than waiting for the spring thaw, below is what I'm looking for.

#1 - Distributor vacuum line and the nuts/fittings that connect it to the distributor and the carb. If I'm ever going to drive on the highway without a billowing cloud of black smoke behind me, I'm going to need this. :steer:No clue as why the PO would have removed it... I know the line is discontinued and I still need to check with Beno to see if the nuts/fittings can be had. I'm hoping someone who did an engine swap might have at least the nuts/fittings laying around and would be willing to let me take it off their hands. Jackpot if the line is still in usable shape. I'm hopeful that if I've done a terrible job of describing this, you can figure it out from the image below. (Thanks @ClemsonCruiser aka JP for the pic!)

#2 - Fuel tank skid plate. What can I say, I need something to protect my beautifully painted gas tank. If I understood JP, correctly, the fuel tank skid plate was not unique to the LV.

#3 - The passenger side strut/support and mounting hardware for the lift gate. See image below of the drivers side strut/support. I'm hoping to get the liftgate back from my local glass shop this week and I would like to increase the odds that it isn't going to come crashing down on my head.

#4 - High and/or low horns. JP said he might have some but I thought I'd throw this out there.

#5 - Heater core in decent shape. Long story short, as soon as I cranked up the LV with the new water pump and heater hoses, the heater core sprung multiple leaks. My local radiator shop didn't think it could be fixed and thinks they have a solution for me where they can solder the mounts from the old one on to one with similar dimensions that should arrive one day this week. If this works, I'll delete this from the thread.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

It's about time I update this thread:
#1 - I purchased a distributor vacuum line with the fittings from Classic Cruisers. It fit perfectly and seems to improved performance.
#2 - I'm still on the hunt for a fuel tank skid plate for a nominal price. Let me know if you have one squirreled away that you can part with.
#3 - @40Flipper had the strut I needed. It fits great and I fell a bit safer standing beneath the open liftgate.
#4 - @ClemsonCruiser came through on the horns. They are installed and work great!
#5 - I got the heater core (and a refurbished heater cover and vents) from @lk930. The heater core turned out not to be the same size as the original but as someone had already soldered 3 of the 4 mounts from an original one on to it, it mounted up like a charm and seems to be working fine.
