I'm switching out my white wagon wheels for steelies. I was able to find 4 in excellent condition locally with perfect hub caps. I'm now looking for just one more pretty looking one to round out the set before I paint. If you have one clean one that can end up in Florida without costing and arm and a leg, please let me know.

It was a local Craig's List find. These were apparently pulled off a cruiser early and stacked for many years. The caps are dirty in this pic, but in very good condition with original paint.

Sometimes it takes just the right question to make you think a bit. As soon as I purchased these I dropped them off for media blasting and primer to get them out of the garage, and never had the reason to look back at the pic I took that night. As I just posted above, I saw the 15" reference on the tire. Whoops.

I may now need some style opinions. I planned to go to a steel wheel look, but with a drop from 16s to 15s I'll have to get new tires at the same time I do the switch. Does anyone have a 45 with 15 inch steel wheels, caps, and a stock suspension that could show me what it would look like with your specific tire size? The wagons are OK and I could re-use, but I think I like the classic look a little better.

Go with grey 16" splits.... would look perfect with mustard.

A stock 16" wheel that would take hub cap was never imported on a 40 series to the US market. The FJ25 had 16" wheels that were skinner with a cut out on the side. The next time a Land Cruiser came stock from the factory with 16" wheels imported to the US was the 93 FZJ80. So a set of stock 16" FJ40 wheels with hub cap clips would be a real fine here. Not impossible but rare.
