Well now, sold my gentex and mount quite a while ago here on mud cause I didn't want to glue. Drat!

OK, someone has to do this....

Land Cruiser Phil removes his rear view mirrors for some reason. Something about an unobstructed view through the windshield or something... :meh:

will it have side telescoping sun visors too?
and a rubber pad so it doesn't bounce against the glass?
will the channel allow for my remote HAM cable to be ran in there also?
Does the Auto Dim work for a 94?

Auto dim is a function of the Gentex mirror, if so equiped. The mount has nothing to do with it.

I'm 60 years old and have been married for 33 years. I'm starting to think panties are over rated.
Not when the panties are thin enough to use as dental floss!!!!

Telescoping visors? No
Rubber pad for glass? Umm no
Channel is for the mirror. Any other cable will very likely be mounted above the mirror so cable already out of sight.
Auto dim question answered :P

cmon man, put some bat wings on that thing so the hole between the visors can block out the sun too...

I made one of these for my Gentex mirror a couple of years ago and the only thing I would like to point out is the weight of the bigger mirror on the factory mount causes the mirror to shake. I then re-made it by adding a second layer to 'box' the arm. Vibration is now way down but it still shakes so the rear view is a bit blurred (hope this helps)

@orttauq yeah that was my initial concern which is why I didn’t plan on using Delrin. Since it’s two pieces I can pocket the arm into the block. I’ve looked carefully at the OEM arm and trying NOT to make it worse :P

Time will tell ;)

They done yet? Lol. My mirror showed up today, so waiting on you! Please dont rape us on price haha. Im sure itll be worth it.

I made mine out a mild steel with a small u-channel I had in the scrap bin. Shaped it on the ASO to match the curve of the factory arm. It uses the threaded holes in the header and I tapped the other end for the Gentex mount. When I re-did it I closed in the u-channel but I think the shaking comes from the mass at the end of the arm.

I'm in for one when they're ready. My mirror fell off and I've tried gluing the damn thing back on 4 times now and can't get it to stay. I really miss seeing behind me. That and knowing how hot it is outside or what direction I'm going in without having to look on my phone. :hillbilly:

I almost sold my gentex as well. Instead I figured Joey might figure out something...and voila! Standing by for availability of the arm.
Will be quick on the draw once these are available!!!

Well done sir, very well done!
