So, low 1st gear? Was it behind a 2F or is it a direct install for a 2F?

How is it that you know that it is an H41 and not a H42?

@woody hometown!

All good. 😊 I'm glad I don't have to make a cross-country trip to buy this.😛 (in 2005, I flew into Madison, rented a U-Haul moving truck and drove across the US buying Landcruiser parts). The H42 that is in my 45 came from a MUDer in the U.P. who met me...in Appleton.😉

is that from a 1975? as it has the pto cover plate on the trans

with some rust showing on the transfer gears, it may be a good idea to remove the top cover from the trans and have a look inside

Haha, thats awesome! There are a couple cruiser enthusiasts in the midwest and a handful who have accumulated parts for 40 years.

Im not exactly sure on the year but I can pop the cover off the trans to grab some pictures. I was under the impression that the PTO winch used a different t-case and the transmission remained the same. Is that not the case?

We of the forum refer to it as a PTO cover, but it’s just a common misnomer. Best WAG is that it served a purpose for some other application, like a forklift. IIRC the cover was from 9/73 through mid-75.

In any event, pics inside the main case are usually a good selling feature.😉
