Had them on for about a month and changed headlights took them off and forgot to put them back on

I did when I was a young lad when I first purchased my cruiser. Thought they looked cool.
They block the light.. noticeably and make cleaning the headlight a chore... Q-tips. I tossed em.

But if big rocks are being hurtled at the car regularly, they would help protect the headlights.

Here are some pics. These were on the 60 when I got it. They have been fine for protecting the headlights as it has been only sitting in the garage since then.
No real life report until I finish the 2FE install........

I have them on both rigs.... Fifteen years at least and so far, no breakage of glass. The metal clips that hold them are quite brittle and break easily, made replacement clips out of metal plumbing strap to function as a hinge at upper side so the glass can be cleaned.

I have them on mine. Had a hard time finding them. Everyone wanted an outrageous price. Found them on Moss motors british car website for around $12. Only available in chrome, but spray paint takes care of that. Not noticeable loss of light with them installed. Love the way they look.

I got my current set from a Mud member (s8salmon?). Good product, all mounting hardware and instructions included.
Very sturdy. Block some light, but I'm fine with that.

ran them back in the 1980's........and still run a set on my 82 FJ40, I love them, but do need another set for the 60

Lived in the desert most of my life. Never saw the need..

Don't buy the ones listed as fitting "Land Cruiser" - Sellers are always asking $40. All you need is the generic 7" round stoneguards for around $15. That's what I've got on mine and they work great.

For some reason, hard to find here, but plentiful in the UK (where lots of gravel roads) ...

Here are some in stainless, as the cheap one do rust quickly if you don't paint them. Free shipping from the UK.

7" Stainless Steel Stoneguards Headlight/headlamps Classic Mini 1959 to 2001

The ones with the clips are nice because it allows you to just pop the guards on and off without having to unscrew anything. The clips just screw down with the same screws used for the headlight ring.
