Hello fellow Mudders & FJ80 owners :)

I have been active on this board mainly for 60 series with a bit of 40 + 70 series projects mixed in. I would like to share with you all my first real post on this board and a decal kit I have made that may help you restore your Wiper/Turn signal stalks.

Please view pictures and we can open the discussion -- as of now I have LHD or RHD kits and I know there are a few different variants so maybe we can discuss making them if need be.

Installed pictures are from other Toyota models but the results and procedures are identical so please feel free to ask questions or let me know if you are interested in buying a kit.

Thanks,

Mo

This looks like a nice offering, thanks for putting it out there.

Out of a place of interest I have a few questions.
  • Do you have any pictures of these with 50-100k miles on them?
  • Do they benefit from a topcoat of some sort for durability?
  • Do they line up well enough with the original markings that the originals don't have to be removed before install (US '97 in my case)?
Thanks

I will try my best --

1) I have been selling these kits for over 5 years so there are probably some vehicles with at least 30-40K on them with these decals
2) Yes, you will 100% need a (clear-coat) to protect them and they essentially last as long as your coating will -- the better the coat, the longer.....
3) Yes they are nearly an identical match -- however there will be 'ghosting' unless you are exact.....my suggestion (easiest way) is the 'knock-back' the edges with a little cleaner such as brake fluid or 90/10 (water-alcohol mix)

Thanks for you questions & I agree 100% owners need to be comfortable with the quality, durability, installation & cost involved in devoiting time to such a project.

I can attest that these are worth all that but feedback from you all is important to improving the breed so-to-speak. For example all kits now ship with 'practice' decals and I have very detailed installation tips to help you get a desired result + I am here for spares and help anytime.
