So what does everyone have planned for Cruiser upgrades this winter?
Or are we all going to wait for the pre-FG rush?

Going to try to finish the pig this winter. Got the new sneakers on it-that got me motivated and I found some parts that I needed
DSCN0352.webp

extended brake lines
finish the parking brake
exhaust manifold gasket
make new interior door panels
sliders
mount the winch up front

Hmm...
I've got a never ending list of things I'd like to do.
Finish the ignition rebuild with a pertronix (should be here in a few days).
Pull out the seats and redo the interior.
Go to steelies/BFG MT's.
Brake work.
4 speed upgrade?
....

HJ45: new floor pans, finish installing Caddy CTS heated seats, install H55.
BJ42: pull out old, tired 3B and replace with fresh 3B turbo engine.
HJ47: get started on 13B-T/H55 install.

I've got a turbo project that I'm hoping to get into and done this winter. Right now looking at 525 hp at the crank.

Out of a 1FZ?

I have 3 more 80 series to do FULL builds on
2 this winter 1 in the spring:wrench:

also need to rebuild the front diff on the red tide, install a front dc shaft, install the sway bars and install a winch to finish off the truck so Jen can drive it

HJ-45 goes into winter hibernation this weekend.
FJCruiser - install full set of aluminum skid plates
4Runner - not sure about its future.

FJ40 is getting saginaw, later knuckles with 12mm studs, aisin lockouts, longfields and hub gear, 4x4Labs steering arms and rods with 1-ton TRE and a u-bolt flip... all parts are sitting in the garage. Once that is on the big tires will be ordered (37's or 38's) and we will see what has to happen after that... probably tube fenders, new longer shocks and shock mounts, front bumper and stinger maybe too.

80 will someday get the new OME bushings installed and then just some maintenance.

yup. mine are so clicky I think it will be best to replace them both and keep the clickers for spares.

That's the big expense that is delaying the job, actually.

Don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. Stop driving the truck, get in there and just service them. Continuing to drive the truck will only ensure that you will need birfs.
