Winter Prep.

My prep so far is to purchase 5 TLCl winter rims from a local auto wrecker, to which I will have Goodyear Ultra Grip studded tires put on them. Below is some other prep that I do.

1. Coolant
2. 1030 oil
3. Block heater

Please tell all what you will be doing for your TLC this winter ?

Wayne , just curious but why do you recommend the lower rad hose heater instead of block heater ? I have always used block heaters and I grew up in Labrador and worked in the NWT and block heaters along with battery blanckets have worked fine . The only thing I dislike about block heaters are when they fail and blow out on you and you are left stranded ! With the lower rad hose heater it would be less likely to happen ?

ease of installation and excellent heating characteristis. not saying it is better than a block heater though. i just like how they work and no cahnce of them falling out...

Oil the s***e out of your ebrake cable or just don't use it in the winter especially in salty bc . I've had mine seize twice from freezing and salt seizing. Both heaters are good i to prefer the hose heater but cost is always an issue when the block heater is only $20 at toyota
