Found these brushes
.17" x .17" x .50" BRUSH 33E
Essentially perfect replacement. Even have the correct shunt type. Had to shorten the carbon slightly, less than 0.1", but that was fine because partially shaped to the commuter radius. Kid in a candy store having 2 speeds in the rainy NW.
3 brushes with shipping was about $25.

One more add on not related brushes but the motor rebuild on my 78 model year. My wiper motor gear shaft, connected to the plastic gear, wore on the major thrust side which caused it to wobble in the housing.
This bushing:

Fit perfectly (length, ID and OD) to replace the original 2 steel bushings at either end of the shaft. Installed it with some blue loctite in the Al housing to make sure it doesn't spin. This way it will bear against the whole shaft instead of just the end and it's copper/brass so the bushing should suffer instead of what's left of the shaft.
