Windshield Wiper Handle Needs Viagra-- Help!!

My windshield wiper handle on the steering column went limp today. It basically just falls to the down position. the windshield wipers no longer work now or make any sort of noise. I didnt hit it so i dont know what happened. Kind of need the wipers up here in western washington! Do i need a new handle on the steering column? I hope not it looks like a PITA to replace. Or is it another problem (motor/linkage) somewhere down the line? Thanks for any insight!

It is a simple issue.

Take the plastic cover off of the steering column, 4 screws I think. Locate the wiper stick base. The pin holding the stick has fallen out. Use a small nail to replace the pin. Re-assemble; should be good to go.

i just ripped everything apart and its not the pin thats missing- the plastic switch piece on the inside broke. yay. looks like the circuit board will make it over to a new wiper switch, but the wires for the sprayers wont. theyre attached. so i will have to splice them in. fun, fun.

Does anybody have the wiper switch assembly on a parts rig that i could get asap?

dude, thanks for the info! i had no idea that place existed. A lot more handy then it getting shipped from cruiserparts in New Hampshire!
