Hi al.
Let me first say, I did a search back to '03 and didnt find what I wanted ..... So I thought I would ask again.
Is it true the WS is a structural component? Mine seem's to move alot, squeek's too, I know there is alot of body flex and the whole cab seem's to shake.
The little question to the big explanation...
Should I have the WS resealed?
Fire away :)
Thanks also

Not sure what you mean by structural, but if its moving, you should get that taken care of.

the cab is moving????
this a convertible 80? :D

Yes, windshields are designed to be a structural (more like integral) component - so it is wise to get it fixed (proper gasket and glue on both sides - give the shop a copy of the relevant section of the FSC and tell them you will check the job after ;) )

If you have seen pics of rolled 80s, the A pillars take a major beating (seems to be one of the weakest areas) - so it's good to have the windshield properly installed.

Cheers, Hugh

agreed, should not be creaking or squeaking like you said - take to a glass shop and have them inspect it for you, probably an easy and cheap fix
