I know these are a personal preference thing but I wanted to share in case anyone else is interested. I’ve run them in the past but sort of got sick of them and haven’t run any in over a decade.

My main reason for giving them another shot is so I can crack the windows while car camping, so there is a purpose other than looks. I’m actually quite pleased with these. They do not have the extra sharp edge and double bevel that my previous AVS ones had which is nice. I’m also glad that they go the full length of the rear door, not just over the movable window portion. I did have to trim off the front edge a bit as it wasn’t lining up with the mirror support. Otherwise they are great and still allow use of my screens.

Oh, and the price was right so I figured I would give them another try.

Do the front windows roll up all the way on their own with these, unlike the weathertech ones where you have to hold the "up" button all the way?

Yes. These are the "stick on the outside" type. They are not the in channel ones. The in channel ones look a bit better but I avoided them as that is a common problem with most of that design. I wan't sure if I would be happy with them or not so I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on them. I'm actually very happy with them so far, especially considering that they were less than $25 shipped. Trimming them was super easy and a nice single cut file smoothed the freshly cut edge down to look like the rest.

Here is a link to the ones I got. I added a screen shot as Amazon may or may not change the price on a regular basis.

Do they reduce wind noise when window slightly open during highway speeds?

I haven't checked but I will report back when I do. I will say that they look a lot cleaner and appear to stick out less than the AVS ones.

Im more interested in the screens, where did you get those?

It's another DIY mod with everything coming from HD. Unless you go fancy, you should be into the screens for well under $30. Word of caution: I had some 3/4" magnetic strips left over from another project that I used for some of it. They do hold better but I have to be careful when removing those portions as the magnet is stronger than the adhesive/RTV ability to keep it together allowing the screen to pull away from the magnet.

2 rolls of 1/2" x 10' self sticking magnet
1 roll of fiberglass screen
1 tube of RTV

1) lay out the magnetic strip on the black window trim and cut accordingly.
2) cut a piece of screen a little larger than the window.
3) remove adhesive backing from magnetic strip
4) apply screen to magnetic strips
5) smear RTV over magnetic strips to help glue the screen to the strips
6) let set overnight to allow the RTV to cure or have a couple beverages and watch RTV cure, your call
7) pull the screens and magnetic strips off as a unit
8) trim off excess screen
9) enjoy bug free car camping

Also, it may be a good idea to keep some RTV in the camping tool kit just in case it pulls away.

My rig had the AVS visors installed when I bought it, which I promptly removed (didn't like the look, plus a couple were cracked).

However, I liked the idea of still having them on for ventilation use when I sleep in the back and it's raining. So, I salvaged the rear window visors and simply replaced the old double sided foam tape with strips of magnetic tape instead. Once I'm parked, simply just put the visors in place and crack the windows (and take them off again before hitting the road!)....easy!

That’s a great idea! You could permanently attach the screens to them and roll everything up when not in use. I think I’ll steal that idea if I get sick of the visors again.

If anyone is looking for a bigger set I am running these https://amzn.to/2MoedUV

You can see more photos of my truck in my build thread.

How do you like your WellVisors? I have been looking for vent shades for my soon to be delivered LC200 and short of buying the Toyota OEM from Australia I was sure what to get? I live in NY so for me its about summer time cooling while my cruiser is parked. I have looked at the WellVisor and the use both clips and tape which looks like a good combo.

I like the wellvisors. They've been on the truck for half a year now. I don't daily the truck though. I like the size of them and it took some getting used to since I've never had a car with visors but the size of them definitely make them quite usable. The quality is pretty good too. they are stiff and have the tape and clips. Easy to install

My truck came with the weathertechs. I much prefer them to stick on models I've had in the past. Sometimes I do have to ride the window switch but no big deal.

I installed the wellvisors about a month ago and are in good condition. I didn't use metal clips that you have to fasten with the door frame, instead I rely on 3M double sided tape. Only down side with these visors are when turning, due to its smoke color, you have a small narrow blind strip on A-pillar. I have OEM set from Japan installed on my 3rd gen 4runner and those are clear so I can see when turning.
