Hello!

Couple (new) questions...

1) Just got some new window runs shipped from UAE for the front windows (slow up/downs) but before I start this project I wanted to get a difficulty level for this job? More concerned with braking something along the way when pulling the doors apart than anything.

I've got this thread as a guide but not sure about difficulty/time commitment A How To/ All you need to know about window channel/run replacement - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/a-how-to-all-you-need-to-know-about-window-channel-run-replacement.132168/

2) The body has a slight sag to the driver side (about 0.5-0.75"). Any "fixes" that don't involve replacing the leaf springs?

Thanks

Pretty straightforward for the windows, not seen and 80 with leaf springs, but spacers are available for the coils. If they have been replaced they may have been put on the wrong sides.

Regards

Dave

Sorry, tells you how much I know about these : )

Any links to where to learn more about the spacers? Part numbers etc.

Thanks for your response

Not hard at all, I pulled the door panels to make it easier.

30-60 min for the front depending on your skill and speed with removing the door panels and getting them back on.

I lowered the window all the way, then would plug back in the window control so I could test and put it back up before putting the door card back on.

Really helped my window speed too.

🍌 One banana job.

No mate just search around the forum or net, but if this is a sudden thing then check very very carefully for broken coils, it DOES happen on the 80.

Spoke to Slee in Golden and they said it's pretty normal to have 5-10mm of imbalance from left to right. There are 5 and 10mm spacers from ARB however that need to go on top of the coils, just in case anyone else is considering this "fix".
