So I hit the switch to roll the passenger side front window down yesterday and it started to get way off track.
The front was going down and the rear part was not going down correctly. It was all kinds of screwed up, luckely it went all the way back up.
I drove home and took the door panel apart and found the rear bolt for the window track was missing, found the bolt at the bottom of the door.
I reinstalled the bolt and made sure the window was back on track correctly.
But now when the window gets to the end of its roll down and also when it starts to go back up it seems to bind and make a loud click noise. It is on track and opens and closes fully but something is not right.
I am thinking maybe that thin metal might have gotten bent or there may be something wrong with the gears but I could not see anything that looked bad. It is really hard to see anything or work in there.
Anyone else have issues with the windows?
I have to try and find time to check the drivers side and loctite that bolt just in case.

Bent track is likely. Also the clip inside the regulator could be cracked and popping as it moves. Will eventually fall out and the window will drop on that side permanently.

I did some digging on the web last night and all signs are pointing to a bent door check. I will take it apart later today and post the results, fingers crossed! ;)

Fixed it! It was definitely the door check, which seemed like it had already been updated to the new replacement part. It was bent towards the outside of the door which caused it to catch on the window glass causing a loud click/snap sound like the glass was about to break. Pull the door panel off and then the 6x9 speaker to access the check. Remove the check and bend it inboard towards the seat so that it clears the window. I used a plastic hammer which preserved the plastic detente formed on the metal slider.View attachment 1931804View attachment 1931802View attachment 1931804View attachment 1931805View attachment 1931806

Sorry the pictures are a little out of order lol! The 4th and 5th pics are after tweaking the door check...while you're in there might as well spray some lube on the window track and gear. Hope this helps someone! :)
