The wiper motor fuse is blowing up as soon as the ignition is turned on. Wiper motor plug is disconnected. Should I be looking for a short circuit around wiper motor area or the other side of the engine bay?

May be rear window wiper could be causing this ? Mine rear window wiper never worked though.

The wiper motor fuse is blowing up as soon as the ignition is turned on. (Even when the connector is disconnected) . There is some sort of short circuit some where. Should I be looking for it around wiper motor area or the other side? Already spent hours trying to figure out where is the short circuit ; I DID waste so many fuses trying to troubleshoot it but now I am using a circuit tester globe. please help , thanks

If the windshield wiper motor is original, it's possible the magnets inside the motor have come loose and jammed inside the body.

Need to replace the wiper motor.

Why it's doing it as soon as you turn the key, IDK unless you have your wiper switch in the activated position.

i'd also invest in a set of resettable fuses for this purpose, rather than keep going through fuses! Amazon has them.

Now I am using a Tester instead of wasting fuses. I been told, once the Globe is OFF, means the problem is FIXED.

Disconnected the BACK wiper motor and the Globe is Still ON.

Where would you start looking for a short-circuit? Near the Battery Area or near the Brake booster?
WIPER MOTOR had been disconnected all this time while troubleshooting, so lets not blame the motor.. :)
