I think any Warn M Series (8K/12k/15k) will be a bolt-on fit, with the re-clocking it is. I run an M8000 on my 4Runner's ARB and it fits like a glove.

On a side note, I'd run the M12000 though, considering the weight of the 80 and other factors. If you decide to do M8000, just make sure you keep a snatch block or two handy.

This, and I'll add that i believe the Warn 16.5ti will bolt in without issue as well. I'll find out next month when my ARB arrives. The 16.5ti has the same dimensions as the m12, so it should fit, and according to Warn it only weighs 2 lbs more (they're both heavy). The 16.5ti also pulls faster and draws less current for any given load. The only negative I'm aware of is that the seven sixteenths steel cable is shorter at 90' vs the m12's 125' quarter inch cable.

No way would I put a 8000# winch on a 80 Series...... too small. You could rely on snatch blocks, but that gets to be a pain.

I ended up getting an M8000. Why? I don’t winch that much, will carry a snatch, save weight, it’s made in the USA.

Now my problem is installing this thing on my ARB bull bar. The mounting kit is completely unavailable through ARB or any store. Are the spacers necessary? And then I just figure out how to mount the control box.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I’ve looked around but first time setting something like this up so I wanna do it right.

I already answered your question once for the previous winch you purchased. It's no different for the M8000.
