Will the CEL just go out when the problem is corrected?

Or does it need to be reset?

I had Advanced run a check and it came up PO402-EGR Flow Excessive

Did a search and one suggestion was to put in some premium and an octane boost to see if it corrects the problem. If it works, will the light just go out or does it need to be reset?

The ECM will retain the code (in most instances) and should be re-set so that future code reading will not show a fault that has already been corrected.

Some codes will reset but I don't think that one will. You can try it and see. Now that you know what the code is you can reset it yourself by pulling the EFI fuse under the bonnet behind the battery. Leave it out about a minute. If that doesn't work (some say it doesn't work for them) then pull the battery cable for a few seconds. If your radio has a security code set then be sure you know the code BEFORE you pull the battery cable.

It may or may not have a code input. If it has a "security key" icon on the face of the radio that blinks when the igition is off, the radio has a code in it. The code is not "standard", it would have been picked by the person who input it.
