Will replacing instrument cluster change odometer millage readout?

So if dash instrument cluster (Combination Meter Assembly) is replaced, does that change mileage?
Or is mileage store somewhere else other than in odometer?

Changes the mileage. Also potentially a criminal offense if done without disclosure.

I like the look of the LX and was considering swapping into my LC just to see what would happen. So this means the mileage will carry with the Combination Meter Assembly. Defiantly a reason to do a little extra due diligence when purchasing.
