Will a brake booster from a 1987 toyota pick up fit, my fj40 is a 1970. Thanks.

do you have disc brakes? the mini has discs and your 1970 doesn't in stock form. different master you need one with the residual valve........I think

I believe 1970 was the split year for the engine firewall. The early ones had the rib going straight up and the later ones dogged legged towards the driversdoor to allow room for the brake booster.

Which do you have?

I do not have disc brakes, I will have to check aboth the rib.

I think you need the extension for your linkage. I am putting front disk brankes onto my cruiser. I have a fj60 booster I am putting on my 69. I need a linkage extension and a booster extension. Meatal Tech is suppose to have them(booster extensions) ready to sell by the end of the month. should be $35 to $40. I have not quite figured out what to do about the linkage extension yet but you can search and there are several options out there.
