I know the 91 4Runner booster/master will work, but would this earlier one work as well? I have no idea beyond bolt pattern and is the mcyl BIG enough for discs? Not sure if 84-89 4Runner had drums or not.....

Thanks!

I don't believe ANY mini-tuck ever had drums in the front... maybe the really early Stouts.

The pre-V6 trucks have either a 3/4" or sometimes a 15/16" bore, and a single diaphram booster. The V6 trucks got 1" bore MCs and double-diaphram boosters. Now, I have a later V6 setup in my '87 (pre-V6) pickup, so I guess that means they can be interchanged. But if your intent is to upgrade, then you should go with the later one.

It was removed from a 1988 Toyota 4Runner 4WD SR5 Auto V6, 3.0L so I bought it for $80. According to Marlincrawler the 86 and later had 1" bore and can push discs, hopefully.
