Not really an answer to your question, but if they're from a RHD vehicle, and your installing them on a LHD vehicle, when the mirror swings away, they may not stop where they should.

I have 70 series mirrors on 2 of my 60s and as far as I'm concerned this is a huge improvement over the miniscule stock mirrors. Sitting in the driver's seat I don't notice the small gap between the mirror base and the door skin. What I do see is the much improved rearward vision.

The ones I have were take offs from Canadian mine trucks, don't know if they are LHD or RHD. I have no problem with the adjustments.

I've had 70 series mirrors on my 60 for close to 10yrs. Got them thru a vendor who sourced them off mine trucks in Canada (no clearance/no mirrors!). They don't conform the door panel as a 60 mirror would, but a bit of a gap isn't really a problem.

Only other option at the time was Australian 60 mirrors or 62 mirrors (electric). A number of aftermarket suppliers have 62 style mirrors that are manually adjusted. Don't know about quality of these.

Bottom line....70 mirrors are a huge improvement over the U.S. OEM sets, IMO.

have them and love them. They are such a huge improvement
over the original OEM ones that the gap between the base and
the door are not even a concern.. You should get a set if you
can. i wish i had switched a long time ago

the only thing about them that isn't 100% is the gap, which I could care less about. used the FJ60 rubber. they're great, and better looking than FJ62 mirrors. they really work.
