Nice one re .22 shell but I didn't have any of these laying around and used what I thought would work with little to no cost involved, only 10 mins of my time (would have taken me longer than that to source the part) and used something that would have otherwise been binned...being the hoarder from hell and a waste not want not kinda gal I am, I CAN do this!!...I like to improvise any time I can and try to work smarter not harder (although this doesn't always happen!!) and figured to replace the parts in question would have been a bigger job...a successful fix is a successful fix, hack or no hack!!! Plus I live in a remote part of Oz so I hadta do what I hadta do giving the availability and or wait time for part delivery, which could have been very timely and i needed horn functioning ASAP...all in the name of safety!!The most common hack is a 22L shell over the end of the pin. The proper piece is less than $10 so why hack it.
