My roof drains are clear....why the water collection in the rockers and how do i fix it without removing the plugs in the rockers. I want to avoid the water going there in the first place..any fixes? hard to find the archive.

The most likely reason is that your pinch-weld drains are plugged up with dust turned into mud by the water. Use a zip-tie to clean them out and you should be good-to-go.

can you tell me were these pinch welds are?

First problem is you should not be washing your truck.

Second problem is as Cbizkit mentions above. If my boggled mind recalls correctly, there are three on each side.

Two actually....;)

The pinchweld is where the two halves of the rocker panel are welded togther on the bottom, hence the name. If you look on the insde of that "lip", about 13 inches behind the front wheel, you will see a small "slit" in the bottom of the seam. There is one just like it near the back end of the rocker. That "slit" is where the water drains out and is the spot that you would "ream out" with your trusty zip-tie.

By design, the water is SUPPOSED to drain through the rockers, right?

That is correct. Sunroof-equipped vehicles have the front sunroof drains exit into the rockers. That was probably not the best place to do that but the design team picked it anyway. The only time it is an issue is when the drains plug up with dust turned into mud. They probably should have been larger to begin with.

That's an interesting place for water to be. I didn't even know it was there until one day after a lot of rain. For some reason I had the stereo off and when I took off from a stop light I heard water sloshing around. What the hell was that?! I did a bunch of stop and go and kept hearing it. When I got home and looked under the truck I saw three rubber plugs in each rocker. Pulled one out and you should have seen the water run. It looked like a faucet.
I just left those plugs in my glove box, if water is getting in there anyway I guess it doesn't matter.
