Well… that’s one way to destroy a 200.
Destroy? Other than the dent in the rear door driver's side (and the rear bumper cover) I don't see any damage.

Ballsy move pulling a trailer through it. Not sure I'll ever do the Rubicon in my 200, but if I do I *definitely* won't be pulling a trailer behind me.

Does he have open diffs front and rear? Or is there a locker(s)?

This is pretty brave and entertaining.

Question. When the LC rear door makes contact with the rock, why does the spotter guide the vehicle by grabbing the front bumper? I’m new to off-roading, but that seems like a very precarious position for the spotter to be in.

You are correct - that was a very dangerous place for the spotter to be. It was also quite dangerous for the girl in the back seat to stick her hand out of the window between the body of the vehicle and rock. Safety and situational awareness are the most important things when wheeling, and when things go badly in a remote/difficult to access location like the Rubicon, it often means a helicopter ride and a race against time to save lives and limbs.

yeah you can see when the spotter jogs away he nearly falls.
Can you imagine if the car started rolling uncontrolled (nature or driver) and he stumbled like that?

And yes watching that girl put her hand between a rock and 2 tons (yes...thin sheet metal door I know) made me shutter.

Glad everyone was safe and the LC200 came away with some battle scars. Good lessons for all.

I am awaiting delivery of my Patriot X3...you're telling me not to take it to the Rubicon?? ;)

It was all safe, good times by all!

Mike probably has more time behind the wheel of 4x4's over the years then everyone else in the 200 section combined

I did use crawl a handfull of times.
Matt don't be Giving up my secrets!
Lol
No lockers

Onur, you know it's the spotters and trail leaders that do all the heavy lifting. I think there will be youtube vids for our entire ride! So more action to come. Great meeting you and the rest of the crew
Mike

I was surprised there was no aftermarket rear bumper.

I always assumed the rear bumper/departure angle was the 200 series Achilles heel
