Does anyone here have any experience with the Wholesale Automatics billet torque converter upgrade? Curious if it feels/runs any different than stock.

I bought one but I don't have the truck on the road yet, I don't expect it to feel different just hope it's less likely to break i think it's the same stall speed. looks like they took a ZF converter off something else and modified to fit. I had to machine down my crankshaft bolt heads for it to fit.

I believe they use the shell from a Chevy 6L90E (Suburban/Tahoe/Silverado) transmission with modified internals from the factory TC.

I got it installed and did the mounts while the transmission was out. Wow. Engine responsiveness is instantaneous now. Like if I step on the gas even a little the rig picks right up.

Going uphill under load is also much more powerful now. Of all the work I’ve done to the engine and power train, this was the most noticeable.

this is good to hear. must be a change in stall speed then, they told me 1500-1800rpm i wonder what the stock stall is.
