How quickly are you going through brake pads? I seem to eat rears in traffic.

Have not replaced them myself yet, but last time getting oil changed they said I will need them soon... where do you get yours done?

Got to stop braking with the ldft foot :). Should get around 80K out of the rears and 100K out of the fronts, that is my experience with 3 100 series vehicles.

You must be in a very flat area with few turns and lots of freeways?

I am light on brakes but in 160,000 miles I am on my third or fourth set of front pads and the second set of rear ones. All are near end of life again.

Had new discs [rotors] at the front at 50,000 miles due to warping and vibration and the rear discs have suffered from corrosion from when the car was idle for a year. They will be changed with the pads next time as I feel that the handbrake isn't what it should be now either.

Are you replacing your brakes w/ OEM parts? That seems like far too much brake wear to be normal, even in lots of heavy traffic.

The handbrake has its own drum setup too btw. You'll need to replace all of those components separately from the rear discs to improve it's function.

15k sounds fast! Wish I had time to do that but wouldn't know how if I had the time. I will either go down to ACC or Toyota dealership on Roswell Rd.
