Go "all the way" and replace the FAN BRACKET with a timing belt, water pump, tensioner service on engines with over 200,000 miles.

Did you have cam timing marks point on I or T?

Seems to indicate "Interference Motor"

I removed interference from the opening post and make a reference to VVTi
 
I just did my Timing Belt Change on 2006 LX470 at 334,000 miles. Replaced the fan bracket, bearing definitely felt worn. Also light squeal after startup that lasted about 1 min. went away. I used this bracket from Amazon:

Casting marks match the original so I believe it is a genuine replacement part.

I was reading the shop manual and saw where the starter was located and thought WTF? Then I figured it was to keep it out of the water. And it is re-buildable. The more I learn about these rigs the more I like them.

In my case, a starter every 325,000 miles with the number of creeks that ford, the design is worth it.
