V8 525.000 kms or 325.000 miles. Don't bother figuring out how much gas it took to get here
One tranny at 225.000 kms, but that was likely my own fault, overlooking overheating in the wilderness. Damage completed when back home on freeway.
A generator around 240.000 kms. A starter at around 320.000 kms. Transfer rear bearing around 460.000 kms. New front-diff, transfer at 500.000 kms maybe because I was not fast enough to replace bearings (lessons learned: Replace bearings when howl being), so rear diff main bearing replace there as well. Front wheel bearings around 420.000 kms. Rear wheel bearings around 520.000 kms - and that is a s***ty job, requiring special tools and a lot of pressure. Left side front lower arm with ball around 500.000 kms. A couple of ignition coils for cylinder-8. Water pump (preventive) at around 450.000 kms. Exhaust rear after 7 years and some 280.000 kms. Rear locker activator was replaced around 480.000 kms, had been defect a while then. A new cooler was in around 520.000 kms. Of course timing belts each 150.000 kms and other services as prescribed.
Still original: Aircon, engine, ps-pump (used for winch), cats, stearing, rear diff, right side lower control arm ball still original stuff.
I am not sure I ever replaced a calliper housing, but of course a few discs and a lot of pads went along. A couple of batteries, now on 2. discount-gel type, they work pretty ok. Yellow-top was no success.
Oh, I abandoned the hydraulic height stuff after replacing a s***load of sensors - put in 4 normal EMU dampers with the EMU torsion bars and rear springs/HD setup. The hydraulics itself was never a problem, only the sensors, and the rear springs not able to take any particular load, so I had the original ones replaced with stronger ones very quickly, only to get HD's in when adding a Kaymar rear with two spares and the LR 165 liter Long Ranger extra tank. Along with the ARB front, Safari, Milemarker hydraulic etc.
How did I get to this? Fluids changed a lot, even tranny, transfer and diffs each some 80.000 kms/2-3 years. Engine not using oil between changes in any visible amounts, but I am also using my Webasto heater even in summer, and I am fairly nice to my cruiser - no pedal to the metal but power as needed only.
Current defect is automatic steering column, that rise/lowers but does not go in/out. It is stuck in the out position, but as that suits med ok, no issues with that. Did complain a couple of times to dealer over strange noises, they fixed but apparently not well enough for it to last.
Have had my front screen exchanged 7 (seven) times - and some idiot must have scratched the upper parts of body work, since it rusted, but I had it cleaned and epoxy painted. Seem to last. Tailgate had some rust early on at the bottom, got that fixed, and it has not come back.
Vehicle was anti-rust threated when new, and every some 3 years since. We have an awful climate here in norhtern Europe, moisture and salt when winter. But the cruister paint seem of ok quality overall, even terrain scratches does not seem phrone to rust.
