Any Pics? I'm considering the OME lift with an ARB bull bar on the front. They local shop recommends heavy spring in the front because of the bumper and medium in the rear. How does the OME ride? Stiffer than stock? I know there have been tons of posts about lifts and whatnot, just wondering who has this set up specifically and can give me some feedback on how it rides in comparison to stock. I'd love some pics as well if you've got em.

pics are after install.

I have them and used the medium springs up front since I was not going to be running a winch. It rides great and a tad stiffer, has not settled lower after breaking in, holds the curves better. Great Offroad.

I reccomend having the dealer install these products. After all if you have a warranty claim, they cant say you added aftermarket items that caused it. Good Insurance. Also the ARB Bumber requires Drilling the frame...again...if the dealer install it wrong then they are responsible.

Quite a few of us do.
886 heavy duty up front for the bumper and Warn XD9000 winch
895 medium coils back after.
Cargobox, Powertank, ARB fridge/freezer in the back.

Rig rides good with this gear.
But...you should also look into aftermarket UCAs up front.
Look on page 3 here on my website for the UCA info.

Many who list have to much positive caster, and this will cause wandering at freeways speeds, and the fix on my page did the trick.
No more wandering for me.

885/895 OME medium. No winch.
Rides like a truck. Much improved over stock.

thanks fellas. Sweet rigs. I'm just debating between the OME and Revtek - I Hear good things about both.

OME is more of a true suspension lift. I would go with the OME in heavy duty front and rear springs. OME springs are designed to get more cushy after break in, so that is why I suggest heavy front and rear.

hd/hd

I went with the HD in the front and rear and I love it. If you ever tow, having the HD in the rear is terrific. Not too bumpy...does kick a little in the back end on the trail though. OME is the way to go. Had it on my 76 and I'll never go with anything else.

Is anyone adding wheel spacers when they lift? I am a little woried about stability on off camber once lifted?

I currently have the RevTek lift and have noticed that over the period of a 1 1/2 years the front has sagged about an inch without an aftermarket bumper. If your considering a lift do what these guys recommend they won't steer you in the wrong direction.

Also if your interested there is a group buy underway in the blue forum. Here is a link: http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/foru...ytec-lifts-suspension-packages-group-buy.html

I just purchased pkg #3 and am anxiously awaiting delivery.

Cheers

thanks for the input. Sounds like OME is the way to go. I don't plan to do any towing really, i have a tundra for that. Wondering if I shoudl go with the medium coils in the rear like the local shop recommends. My butt isn't going to be saggin around town will it? I just saw a local dude's fj that was lifted - looks great parked, but any time he pushes the gas he's riding a wheelie. might have to do with his 37" tires...
