I have been searching the web for a used snap on or Matco tool box, since I have a limited budget I have been searching for a used unit.

Been eyeing up the 40 inch wide snap on box and would like prefer something around 50 inches as some of the snap on pry bars are a little longer than 42 inches.

Any ideas were to look?

craigslist or local mini nickel type paper

Wherever your local tool thieves hawk their stuff.

Flea market, Nickle ads, pawn shop, craigslist or ebay.

The sad fact of the matter is few honest people ever sell their tools. So most of whats out there is stolen.

I would not want to support any such thievery, I will ask for a actual bill of sale before even looking at it.

Thanks for all the ideas.

I bought a cheap snap on box from the local dealer. he repo it. He was asking $1750 and i bought it for $900 cash. They jack the prices up because they finance stuff. Offer em cash

Dude you are so lucky
So would you tell use who much to payed :grinpimp:

8K for everything .
Ive got about $300 cleaning supplies, paint and paper,
The parts to fix the box Im running about $650 for a new top, drawer liners and a new handle .
When all said and done I'll have about 9K tied up in it .

I recently picked up a Proto roller cab 50" box at the local retailer for $475. It had a dent in the upper right side but was purely cosmetic. I lucked into this but I know for a fact that our Snap-On dealer will take in trades of other brands and will always have a repo or idea on which of his customers might be close to selling for cheap to avoid a repo situation. I was getting disgusted with Ebay and the like but after a year or so I lucked into this so be patient and good luck in your hunt.

Naw thats a dream deal on a cab and toools Koffer.....

Will continue to check with craigslist.
