Where the H*** does this coolant hose go? Replacement for this 90 degree heater hose

Oh wait, that was a stupid question for this bunch…. :flipoff2: So any way I ordered all the coolant hoses from CDAN and could not wait to purge, fill, rinse, purge, fill, run to work and back, purge and then attack the “original” coolant hoses as part of my on going PMs. Well I have this one left over and have no clue to where it goes. Please don’t tell me it is hiding under the manifold:doh:.

The PHH was a snot, but with a swivel head ratchet and a pair of 11” angled needle nosed pliers I got it out and replaced. Now on to the rest of them. No big deal with my trusty dermal and needle nose pliers the cotter pin clamps were no match for me. I even was able to get the two (2) Heater hoses off the fire wall area. :bang::bang:Oh wait, I don’t have the two Heater hoses in my coolant hose kit. The straight one is no big deal, but the 90 degree one, well I went to local auto store and got a close match, but the ID is just a little big and afraid it might not seal even with constant torque clamps. :mad:I remember about mods folks have done to heater hoses underneath the rigs, but not anything about this 90 degree one. So what great advice do the sages of Mod have?

Thanks,

Throttle body coolant hose....

So, where is it? Do I have to remove the throttle body to get to it? My factory manual does not show it in the coolant section.

Thanks,

The hoses at the firewall are metric, so take that piece with you to an import auto supply house and find a hose you can cut a 90 degree out of that's the correct diameter. You'll have the same issue with the straight hose back there, BTW. Lay a board across the fenders to work back there - makes things WAY more comfortable. Don't lean on the radiator top tank at all.

I just replaced all my heater hose. The long skinny one is the throttle body bi pass hose. If you stand looking at the throttle body it would be on the bottom left side and it goes to the port called the fhh on the block. You do have to unbolt the throttle body. Also 5/8 silicon heater hose will work with constant torque clamps.

Thanks,

You guys rock!
