I wanted to do a coolant flush and could not find the drain plug that is supposed to be on the side of the engine block. All data has a terrible diagram that doesn’t help lol. Dose anyone have a picture of where it’s at and know how to get to it?

They are on each side of the block right behind the oxygen sensors (if you were looking from the side).
Looking from underneath the sensors kind of block their view. Look for the little bent down tube . They are smaller than you would expect.

ok I found a picture of what it looks like but still confused on how to locate them. Do I slide under the front of the vehicle or the side or do I try to access through the wheel well? Should I take a tire off or jack up the vehicle?

I guess I don’t know what angle to position myself in to be able to find them.

using the oil drain plug as a reference point where should I track to locate them.

Go from underneath

Duh. I did try for over an hour yesterday when I changed the Cam Sensor since I had to drain the radiator for that job. I tried like crazy to find it and nothing. Usually, there are videos on youtube for everything but not this. I've looked at manuals too. Just figured I would ask on here to see if someone did it themselves they could take 2 mins explaining how they found it. You could of easily skipped this post. One day you'll be in this position with questions about something.

Look at this diagram lol

Hallelujah I found it. For anyone who does this in the future On the drivers side it’s directly above the oil pan.

There are two. One on each side of the block. If I remember when I changed my radiator last year, the passenger side is even harder to get to.

Don't expect it to actually drain though. Mine was plugged and I had to remove it from the block, clean and reinstall. I put a rubber cap over the metal nozzle to prevent Mud Daubers from filling it up again.

I had a hard time finding the engine block drain too, i usually flush it like this. Park truck with front end tilting downwards, drain radiator, fill with distilled water, drive around until operating temperature and the thermostat opened to circulate coolant. Drain radiator again, and fill with distilled water and drive around, then drain radiator and add the coolant of choice, SLL pink

Excellent idea.

I do something similar. I drain from 3 locations and remove thermostat. No need to wait for thermostat to open for circulation with thermostat removed. Install thermostat after many drains and add my favorite coolant. Don't forget to turn on front and rear heaters too.

No need to turn on heaters. Cooling and heating system is constant flow. No internal valves.
