I'm looking for the valve to open to flush out out the old coolant. I'm not sure where it is on this 2014 Lexus LX 570. Do I need to remove all those coverings on the underbody to see this valve?

Should have the petcock on the radiator and two valves on the motor (one on each side)

I'm looking for the drain value. Is the drain valve on the passenger side or driver side? Is it cover by an underbody shroud that I need to remove to access it?

passenger and yes

There are three drain valves as shown above.

Look for the passenger side first. It is much easier to locate, and once you see it you know what to look for on the driver's side.

how much volume do you think you'd get from just draining and refilling the radiator? And is the total volume of coolant supposed to be 17.1 qts? TIA

one of the many coolant flush/change threads for reference:

When I did this I jacked one side of the car up at a pretty decent angle and opened the low side valve. I then repeated the process for the other side.

Looking at my pictures I did get just under 4 gallons out. My guess was the heater core had some residual left.

My coolant did have some black flakes in so worth doing(I was doing the valley plate repair)
