HI everyone,
I did search, but I could not come up with the thread that detailed swapping the headlights and grill from an FJ60 into an FJ62. I know that the thread listed the entire process, and the needed parts, but I can't seem to find it. Anyone know what that thread was called?

Thanks,
Zack

If you do it, I'll buy your old grill/lights set up.

I thought I'd posted more detail but wasn't able to find the thread myself. It's really pretty straight-forward the way I did it though others did it differently.

1. remove everything from the radiator support forward - label wires
2. remove radiator support
3. install 60 series radiator support
4. install 60 series parts to radiator support
5. wire it up
6. done!

Is this all bolt on or is welding involved for the radiator support or any other part for that matter? I don't know how the radiator support is attached.

Some people have posted that they used the 62 radiator support and welded pieces on but my friends in the body shop all took a look and said that to do it right to replace the radiator support. That way it's all bolt-on and everything fits correctly. The radiator support bolts in but you have to loosen the fenders to be able to fit it in.

I like to make it look as good as possible so I followed the advice of the folks that do this stuff for a living. I think it came out very well.
