Bart and I where replacing valve seals, because we do head gaskets every week end

Wanna try a 2FE build? Its almost the same as doing a head gasket.

I've been debating replacing my valve seals on the 2F. Can it be done w/ the head on? Just use compressed air to hold the valve in place?

Steve and I were talking about this with Jorge, and he mentioned the same thing. I don't know how much more difficult it would be to snake the seals up and down the valve stem, particularly at the rear of the head. It's easy when the head is on a table

I replaced the valve seals on my 40 w/o removing the head. I used compressed air to keep the valves in place and a "non C-type" spring compressor. I think I still have the crappy spring compressor if anyone want to borrow it.

overhead valve spring compresser? I bought one of those for my 22re project. They're like $10 at advanced auto, and they work.
